A contemporary Coffee House, inspired by my client's trips to Japan and passion for Japanese culture, teas, and specialty coffees. The design took into account a careful balance of delicate sensibility, simplicity, natural materials and budget. The floors in the dining room are covered with bamboo; a sustainable resource that is economical, durable, and evokes a lightness and sense of peace. Color was also a very important part of this project, playing with natural earth tones to create a dynamic, yet soothing backdrop accentuated by gentle curves in the ceiling, walls and brewing station.
